Project Description: 

This solar garden, scheduled to be installed late 2016, is located on the roof of the Edina Public Works building and will serve Edina residents. Cooperative Energy Futures was awarded the project site by the City of Edina after requesting and reviewing proposals from a number of community solar developers. The project is going through the Xcel Energy application process, and community promotion of subscriptions will begin shortly.

How to Participate: 

Edina residents interested in subscribing can sign up at http://cooperativeenergyfutures.com/communitysolar/. We are also hosting community meetings in Edina for community groups to work together to define the vision and strategy for community engagement in the City of Edina. The first meeting will be Wednesday January 27th from 6:30-8:30PM at Edina Community Lutheran Church 4113 W 54th St, Minneapolis, MN 55424.

Community events to sign up subscribers will begin in February 2016.

Only residents of the City of Edina are eligible. If the garden is not fully subscribed, subscriptions may be opened to others.
