Project Description:

The price of fuels from North Dakota, Canada, and Saudi Arabia has grown increasingly volatile. Minnesotans are responding by turning to clean, stable, locally-produced energy. The Gaylord Community Solar Garden will save money for Xcel Energy customers in Gaylord and the surrounding communities for the next 25 years, using Minnesota labor, Minnesota products, and Minnesota sunshine.

The Gaylord Community Solar Garden is located on a four-acre parcel of land between the Michael Foods processing facility and the City of Gaylord’s water treatment plant. Anyone with an Xcel electric bill in Sibley County or any of the six surrounding counties (Carver, Le Sueur, McLeod, Nicollet, Renville, and Scott) are eligible to subscribe.
