Stiebel Eltron Energy Saving and Renewable Energy Products

Stiebel Eltron is the German manufacturer of the energy saving Tempra® Plus tankless electric water heaters, Accelera® 300 heat pump water heaters, as well as solar hot water heating renewable energy systems.

Stiebel Eltron is known for high quality, well-engineered products. The primary focus in product development is on products that use less energy, are much safer, and give the consumer higher levels of comfort.

Tempra® Plus whole house tankless electric (99% efficient) water heaters feature an advanced flow control that automatically keeps output temperature constant. They provide: 1) Unlimited Supply of hot water; 2) Energy Saving - 15-20% on water heating portion of electric bills compared to tank-types; 3) Water Saving – exact output temperature set via digital display conserves water; 4) Space Saving - units only about 17” wide, 15” high and 5” deep; 5) Easy Installation – no venting required.

Accelera® 300 Heat Pump water heaters extract up to 80% of their energy requirements from the energy in the air around them. Compressor and fan consume only 1kWh of electricity to generate the heat equivalent of 3 – 5kWh. Among Energy Star rated heat pump water heaters, the Accelera® 300 has the largest capacity (80 gal), highest energy factor (2.51), lowest power input (2.2 kW) and lowest power consumption (1739 kWh/year) as determined by DOE testing.

Stiebel Eltron solar thermal system presents a great hedge against current and future fossil fuel price volatility. There are federal tax credits, in most cases state and local incentives too, which can cut the cost of an installed system up to 40%. Stiebel Eltron solar thermal collectors are certified among the most efficient by the SRCC, efficiency being the amount sunlight transferred into usable Btus of energy to heat hot water for domestic and radiant floor systems. A New England family can expect to satisfy 65-75% of their annual hot water needs, in Virginia 78-85%, and in Florida or California 85-95%.

Also, Tempra® Plus tankless electric water heaters provide an ideal backup to the solar systems when the sun needs a little assistance.

There is an industry leading 10-year warranty on all Stiebel Eltron Accelera® 300 heat pump water heaters and solar tanks, 3-years on all Tempra® Plus tankless heaters. We are happy to size a tankless water heater, heat pump and/or a solar thermal system for your particular needs.
