Company Details
About Us:

We are a member-owned electric distribution cooperative serving three counties in Minnesota including Winona, Houston and Fillmore and parts of Olmsted and Mower counties and we also serve portions of Howard, Winneshiek and Allamakee counties in Iowa. MiEnergy has about 13,000 electrical services.

Community Solar:
If you ever thought it would be cool to have your home powered by solar, now you have a great opportunity to make that a reality. MiEnergy’s community solar project, Renewable Rays, consists of 180, 410-watt units that are being offered to members of the cooperative. The 73.8 kW project is located at MiEnergy's offices in Rushford.

Utility Scale Solar:
Tri-County Electric Cooperative has partnered with two neighboring electric cooperatives (Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services, Inc. - Albert Lea, People’s Energy Cooperative - Oronoco), to construct and own a 517 kW PV system. The energy production is sold through a PPA to the cooperative’s G&T - Dairyland Power Cooperative. The PV system is located adjacent to People’s industrial park in Oronoco and is visible from STATE HWY 52.

Dedication to Community:
We will constantly seek to enhance the quality of life of our members and the economic and social well-being of our communities. Our cooperative was founded in 1936 when power was not available to rural residents. Local citizens banded together to build lines going out to their homes and farms. Those people created a company that has prospered while providing its members with competitive electric rates and expanded services for 79 years.
