About Us:

Dakota Plains Energy, with offices in Nisswa, MN and Aberdeen, SD, is a multi-discplined renewable energy developer. We develop utility-scale and community-sized wind farms along with biomass projects in the Midwest, with turnkey project development, site selection, wind regime assessment, financing, permitting and construction management are included within our service package. Our company’s small size allows us to work in a direct and hands-on manner with individual landowners, landowner associations, county and economic organizations.

Dedication to Community:
Our goal is to revitalize rural communities across the Upper Midwest by focusing on development of renewable energy projects in smaller, economically challenged communities. By leveraging their natural resources, i.e., wind, biomass, etc., jobs, tax bases and school districts will financially blossom, retaining young people and encourage many more to return to the place they call home.
