Project Size (kW):
4.96kW
Location:
Newburg, WI
Project Description:

Leo Miller is a 92 year old man that approached Arch Electric in September, 2015, to understand what he could do with his energy usage by installing solar. He has a large area with open south facing exposure, so he decided on a 4.96kW ground mount system.

Since he lives in a township that has not had to issue a solar electrical permit before, he, on his own volition, contacted the town inspector to ensure that the permitting process would be simple. In fact, the permit did process smoothly, and construction of a 5 pole ground mount began in November.

The array sits about 150' from the house, and Leo was able to look out his living room window to see the progress, and, often times, chat with the installers from Arch Electric. Leo is a retired attorney with a wealth of knowledge about many things, and he knows exactly what size system he needs to meet the needs of his home.
