Project Description:

Bethel Evangelical Church in south Minneapolis partnered with MN Community Solar to host a community solar garden on their education wing, recruit subscribers from the congregation and community, and subscribe to the electricity being generated by their solar garden. The congregation has used the subscription drive as an educational tool to teach the Church's children about the environmental stewardship and as an outreach tool to display the Church's values to the larger community.

This congregation has long had a spiritual commitment to environmental stewardship. Working with the community to create a solar garden is a concrete step toward better nourishing God's Creation.
