About Us: 

As a leader in renewable energy since 1999, Community Energy has developed over 1,000 megawatts (MW) of wind and solar power generation nationally. In 2015, Community Energy announced North Star Solar, a 100 MW solar energy facility in Chisago County, Minnesota, to be the state’s largest solar project. The company is currently developing 10 MW of community solar gardens under Xcel’s Solar*Rewards Community program throughout Minnesota. Community Energy currently operates three community solar gardens in Xcel’s Colorado program.
