Big Soo Terminal is a strategically located barge, rail and truck terminal located in the Upper Midwest. Our unique tri-modal shipping and receiving options, heavy haul transfer and warehousing and distribution capabilities make us an ideal partner to the Wind Energy Industry. Our facility is located at the head of navigation on the Missouri River and on the Union Pacific railroad. With direct access to major Midwest roadway arteries, Big Soo’s one-of-a-kind tri-modal transfer and storage facility can efficiently move WTG components to the best undeveloped wind resources in North America.

Our services inlcude heavy haul transfer, storage and staging of wind turbine generator components as well as integrated logistics solutions for component transport. We can provide real-time component geo-tracking with impact detection and pre-development logisitics consultation. Our unique facility allows complete, third-party warehousing and distribution services for wind turbine components including component hardware consolidation and inventory control, component hardware kitting and reverse logitistics for component shipping fixtures.
